Fred von Lohmann (Google) will discuss the court ruling of the nine-year Google Book Search lawsuit, followed by respondent comments from Laura Quilter (University of Massachusetts, Amherst) and Lisa Macklin (Emory University). Discussion will include the House Judiciary Committee proposal for “The Next Great Copyright Act” and its impact on access, digitization, and fair use in the digital age.
