ALA JobLIST Placement Center

Provided by the ALA Office for Human Resource Development and Recruitment (HRDR), the JobLIST Placement Center will be open Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.

There will be an Orientation on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 8:30 a.m. in the ALA JobLIST Placement Center.

There will be an Open House in the JobLIST Placement Center on Sunday, January 26, 2014, 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 noon. This will be an opportunity for representatives from various libraries and information-related companies to talk with conference attendees about their individual work environments. In addition to general information, representatives will discuss various aspects that make their institutions unique – such as work culture, facilities, sports, music, arts, campus and community life, etc. – showcasing the activities available in and around their institutions that highlight the quality of life. Jobseekers can search for jobs on the JobLIST website at Jobseekers may attend career guidance workshops, talk to a career counselor, have your resume reviewed, and talk to employers in the Placement Center. All services are free to job seekers. ALA membership is not required. Registration is not required to view jobs, but is recommended. It will give registered employers access to your resume information. It will also provide for direct communication between job seekers and employers. Find additional information at

Employers who want to post positions should post them on the JobLIST web site at Employers who want to use the interviewing facilities must have an active ad placed on JobLIST at the time you schedule an interview. You must also complete an employer interviewing registration form.
